
We offer several proprietary medical grade coatings which we can apply to many difficult substrates, such as Stainless Steel Guidewires, NiTi, Ceramics, Silicones, Polyurethane, C-Flex, Polyester, Polypropylene and Polyimide. Our surface modifications are highly durable and become lubricious when made wet. In-fact, our “SIL98ts1” silicone coating greatly reduces friction both when wet or dry and will expand and contract with a silicone balloon. In addition to the friction reduction benefits, our coatings can be used to reduce bacterial colonization as well as reduce protein and platelet adhesion. In many cases hydrophilic coatings have been found to be anti-thrombogenic causing many to employ them as an alternative to Heparinization. Some example applications, have been to use our hydrophilic coatings to minimize catheter obstructions for various implantable catheters such as biliary stents, wound drainage, urinary drainage , enteral feeding and cardiac catheters.
